NFL | Jets’ Safety Out For Preseason; Bears’ Urlacher Injury Uncertain

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher came back to camp this Saturday but did not participate in practice.  His right knee injury remains a mystery according to ESPN. He missed the preseason game against the Broncos and there is no word if he will be playing next preseason game against the Redskins. Urlacher tore his MCL and PCL at the end of last season.

NY Jets’ safety Eric Smith, who is Rex’s favorite (according to NFL News), suffered a “left medial collateral ligament injury and a hip contusion” during Friday’s loss to the Bengals. Ryan has been trying to be secure with the safety positions; Smith tore his meniscus last season. What is confirmed now is that Smith will be missing the remainder of the preseason games.
