Megan Boken, a former star volleyball player, was on her way to play in the university’s alumni game. She parked about 2 miles down from the school. She never made it to the game.

Boken was found with gunshot wounds in her neck and chest. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. Her mother was on the phone with her when the shooting happened but all her mother said was she heard static.

The police say it might have been “robbery gone wrong” for the 23 year old. They are investigating if she knew the suspect.
