NFL | Romo Takes Advantage of NYG Secondary Backups & Wins Kickoff Game

The New York Giants, the defending champs, didn’t look like the champs. Rushing game was horrible in 1st half for both teams until the 2nd half when Cowboys Murray went into beast mode gaining 131 yards while Giants Bradshaw only had 78 yards.

Victor Cruz dropped passes and only had 58 reception yards, far below the usual for Mr. Salsa. Giants receiver Hixon, who has been out many of times for injures, had a great impact with big receptions in the 4th gaining 55 yards from 3 catches. But the offensive line wasn’t protecting Eli Manning who was sacked 3 times.

Giants starting corner Amukamara was out with a sprained ankle so his backup Michael Coe was in and then he got injured so the 3rd string corner, Tryon, went in and Romo realized it. Tony Romo saw the 3rd string corner against his 2 starting receivers Bryant and Ogletree and used that to his advantage. Ogletree has 114 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Tony Romo had a confident game with his 307 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Eli Manning had 213 yards and 1 touchdown.
