The Chicago Bears have an injured receiver, rookie Alshon Jeffery.
So jobless Plaxico Burress told the Bears that he’s open for the position. Burress said via phone with ESPNChicago:
“For me to get to a football town like Chicago and play with a group of guys like (Matt) Forte, Brian (Urlacher), (Brandon Marshall) and Jay (Cutler) would be an honor. I just have to get the green light.”
Bears’ quarterback Jay Cutler has not pushed to get Burress:
“I don’t make those decisions. That’s up to the guys upstairs. We like our receivers. I know they’re always looking to add to every position, so we’ll see what happens.”
