For the month of October, Chicago had only 37 murders. It’s horrible overall, but it’s an improvement from previous months. The only other month that had less than October’s amount was February:

• July, 48 murders
• June, 47 murders
• May, 51 murders
• April, 41 murders
• March, 50 murders
• February, 28 murders
• January, 40 murders

On October 30, 2 people were killed, aged 23 and 18. The youngest victim in October was 17, oldest 68 and both were shot dead.
