NEWS | High School QB Ejected From Playoff Game Because Of Cam Newton?

Starting quarterback Jalen McClendon for West Mecklenburg High School in North Carolina was ejected in a playoff game against Hough High.

Wst Mecklenburg did win the game but the reason why their quarterback was kicked out was because he did the “Cam Newton Superman” TD endzone dance. Not even a dance, but more of a acting skill of ripping your shirt open.

ESPN report:

West Mecklenburg coach Jeff Caldwell said Wednesday that McClendon wasn’t trying to taunt anyone. The coach doesn’t see anything disrespectful about Newton’s celebration, but the move was perceived as poor sportsmanship by the high school officials.
