15-year-old Hadiya Pendleton was shot and killed in Chicago after doing an event at Obama’s 2nd inauguration. The honor student was a victim of wrongful identity as the suspects, 18 year old Michael Ward and 20 year old Kenneth Williams, shot at a group of people they thought was their rival gang. Ward, the suspected shooter, was shot last year and was looking for revenge.

The 2 suspects were arrested after her funeral where the First Lady Michelle Obama was present.
