Carolina Panthers released Chris Gamble today, their top cornerback even though he was out most of 2012 season due to a shoulder injury. Gamble holds the franchise record for 27 interceptions for the Panthers who he has played with for 9 years and has started every season.
With his release, according to NFL, saves them almost $8M in salary cap.
Teams with defense (secondary) issues will definitely be looking at Gamble as he is only 30 years old and holds QBs at 45% completion rate and 53.3% passing rate.
