The story surrounding Louisville Cardinals after they won against Duke was the injury Kevin Ware suffered.

But the spirit of the team, fans and Ware kept the team alive after the Cardinals were down by 12 points in the 2nd half and ended up beating Wichita St Shockers by 4, 72 to 68.

And what makes this story even better is that the bench players are the ones who saved this team besides starter Russ Smith with his 21 points. Bench player Henderson made two back-to-back three pointers for the Cardinals in the 2nd half and besides Hancock’s 20 points, with a few seconds left in the game, Hancock made a smart defensive play & forced a jump ball call against Shockers starter Baker, possession arrow for Cardinals.

Last time Louisville had to overcome double figures in the 2nd half was in the Big East tournament against Georgetown Hoyas.

Louisville will play in the Finals against the winner of the Syracuse/Michigan game.
