Knicks’ star Carmelo Anthony will win the Scoring Title this year after competing with Thunders’ Kevin Durant. Durant however will not be playing in the season finale, giving Anthony the record averaging 28.7 PPG.
Durant announced via Instagram that he would sit this game tonight against the Bucks “SITTING OUT TONIGHT’S GAME, if you disappointed I didn’t try to go for the scoring title, oh well!!” Durant would of had to score 70 points to overcome Anthony’s record.
But besides that good news, the bad news is that forward Rasheed Wallace has decided to retire, right before the playoffs and right after he returned to the court after a injury that had him sit out for 4 months. Knicks did sign forward Quentin Richardson, a former Knick who was waived by the Magic in October 2012.
