ESPN reported that head coach Mike Woodson says there is a possibility that JR Smith’s playing time will be cut/decreased.
The reason is because of the shooting struggle he has had in this series. In Game 1, he missed 11 of his 15 shots and Game 2 he was 3 for 15. Smith has fallen off since the game after his suspension due to elbowing Jason Terry in the Knicks/Boston series.
“I feel good about the guys that come in off that bench just like I feel good about J.R. But if he’s struggling and I feel the need (that) I’ve got to pull him, then I will do that as the head coach and then other guys have got to come in and step up and play.” – Mike Woodson, Ian Begley ESPN
