NCAA | Notre Dame’s Fullback Dies At 26


A Hartford Connecticut native and former Notre Dame full back (2005-08, jersey #44) Asaph Schwapp, has died at the age of 26 after a long term battle with non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

Schwapp played in the United Football League in 2010 after he was cut from the Dallas Cowboys in 2009. He tore his ACL and called it quits.

Primarily used as a blocker, the 6-foot, 257-pound Schwapp finished his college career with 44 carries for 98 yards and eight receptions for 62 yards – ESPN, Matt Fortuna
