NBA | Carmelo Anthony Played With Shoulder Tear, MRI Confirms

The league confirmed that Knicks’ player Carmelo Anthony was playing with a small left shoulder tear. The MRI today revealed this tear.

What I’m wondering is why was this not done before now?

Knicks’ are giving him a few weeks for Anthony’s shoulder to heal but if it doesn’t he will need surgery. ESPN sources think Anthony got the tear from a shoulder injury in April 15th game. Anthony did complain about shoulder pain then and postseason.

Knicks were eliminated from the playoffs in a Game 5 series against the Indiana Pacers who are now in the East Finals against defending champions, Miami Heat.
