Broncos backup quarterback Cullen Finnerty has gone missing after he made a frantic phonecall to his wife the day he was out on the camping grounds fishing at Bay Creek State Forrest.
According to CNN, the call was about him being scared of something and running. Police found his boat empty and search crew and helicopter continue to look for Finnerty since he disappeared Sunday.
Finnerty was a great success in college football as he brought his team, Grand Valley State (Division 2), top the National Title three times (2003, 2005, 2006) in his 4 years of starting. He had a brief moment with the Baltimore Ravens in 2007, then Broncos in 2008, but went back to college to graduate.
