NBA | Former Hawks’ Star On Life Support After Horrible Car Accident


Former Hawks’ basketball star is on life support after a head on collision in Clayton County near Atlanta today.

All-Star point guard Mookie Blaylock was driving on Tara Boulevard when he crossed the media on southbound lane, striking another car head on.

Blaylock played 13 years in the NBA (NJ Nets 89 – 92, Atlanta Hawks 92 – 99, Golden State Warriors 99 – 2002). He was two time steal leader (97, 98), All Star (94), and made the All Defensive First Team twice ( 94, 95). In his 13 years, he had 11,962 points, 2,075 steals and 1,283 three pointers.

Two of his sons play football for Kentucky Wildcats.
