NFL | Cowboys Take Away Head Coach’s Responsibility of Calling Plays

Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has decided to take away play calling from head coach Jason Garrett. Many of Cowboys fans are probably happy about this after two seasons of unsure plays that cost games.

Offensive coordinator Bill Callahan will be in charge of calling plays for the offense this upcoming 2013-14 season according to ESPN Dallas’ Calvin Watkins.

Callahan stated:

“It’s a compliment to our staff and it tells you the way our guys work on the offensive side of the ball. It’s been productive all the way around. I’m really encouraged, I’m honored and just do the best job for our fans and our team.”

Should Garrett be worried about his job as well if the Cowboys don’t live up to their “America’s team” potential?
