Terrilyn Monette, a second grade teacher at Woodland West Elementary School, has been found dead in her car in the New Orleans Bayou. Monette has been missing since March 2.

Tony Enclade, her mother, is frustrated with the police work on her daughters case:

“I don’t understand why it took them so long to find her car,” Enclade told The (New Orleans) Times-Picayune. “This is supposedly one of the first places they would have checked. I’m just overwhelmed. It doesn’t make sense.”

Monette was out at the bar with friends and left around 5:15am.
