CT Post reported that Marquis Jacobs, 32, was shot to death Sunday afternoon at P.T. Barnum Housing Complex and the Bridgeport police think it was a set up and “not a random act”.
Jacobs, 36, was found lying on the ground near Building 11 of the P.T. Barnum Housing Complex at about 12:50 p.m. Sunday, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound, Kaempffer said. The victim was brought at St. Vincent‘s Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later. Jacobs was the sixth homicide victim in Bridgeport this year.
He had a criminal history, the police spokesman said. And according to the state’s judicial web site, Jacobs had convictions for third-degree assault, and failure to register as a sex offender. The public judicial database only includes conviction information dating back to around 2000.
