NFL | Colin Kaepernick Was Suppose To Be Another Teams Quarterback

According to Yahoo Sports, 49ers starting quarterback Colin Kaepernick was not suppose to be a Niner.

Kaepernick explains that before he was drafted by the 49ers in 2011, another team showed high interest in him and the 49ers never showed interest.

Coach Jackson told me before the draft they were going to do everything they could to try to get me. I thought there was a good chance they’d pick me. I never heard anything from the 49ers before the draft after I worked out for them [at Nevada]. I just figured they weren’t interested

Coach Jackson he is referring to is Hue Jackson, former head coach of the Oakland Raiders. Kaepernick claims the 49ers showed interest after the Manning Passing Academy and becoming friends with Colts’ Andrew Luck. Kapernicks father told Yahoo that Raiders’ Al Davis threw a glass across the room when 49ers drafted Kaepernick.

I think we now can see why.
