NEWS | Inmate Snitches on Officers Selling Drugs To Riker Island Inmates

31-year-old Austin Romain and Khalif Phillips were both caught and arrested for selling inmates drugs at Riker Island in New York.

According to NY Post, the officers arranged payments through the inmates’ wives or girlfriends and smuggle the drugs in by garbage pails or lockers.

The officers were caught selling marijuana to the inmates by a inmate snitch who was their customer.

Their arrests capped a two-year probe into by the federal Drug Enforcement Agency and the city Department of Investigation, with DOI Commissioner Rose Gill Hearn noting that they bring the number of Department of Corrections employees busted on contraband charges in the past decade to 30
