Police are investigating a shooting at Danbury Billiards & Cafe that left one man injured early Thursday, officials said.
Police were called for a report of shots fired at the popular pool hall at 28 Federal Road about 1:15 a.m., according to department spokesman Lt. Christian Carroccio. They found the victim in the parking lot with three gunshot wounds to the legs, Carroccio said. Police don’t know whether the man was the intended target.
Carroccio said the 25-year-old victim and witnesses were uncooperative in providing information to police.
“So unfortunately, we don’t have much at this time,” the spokesman said. “They’ll probably re-interview all the witnesses again.”
The victim was taken to Danbury Hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Carroccio said he could not provide any additional information about the suspect or a possible motive for the shooting.
