Meskerem Legesse, 26, was eight months pregnant when she died yesterday. Yahoo reports that the young pregnant Olympian runner was with her two year old son at a Chinese restaurant, in Hamden Connecticut, getting take out when she collapsed.

The doctors did save the baby and the cause of her death is unknown at this moment. Her friend told Yahoo that she did have heart issues before. The hospital did not release any information on the baby’s health.
