According to WTNH:
Three arrests have been made in the case of a body found stuffed in a duffel bag in Suffield.
The trail led police to Hartford. Police there say the whole thing started with a fight over money.
Hartford police say fifty-six-year-old Peter Boateng was murdered in his home at 171 South Marshall Street. On Tuesday, three people were arrested and charged in connection with the homicide.
“It was a feud. All four parties involved, the victim and the accused, are all roommates,” said Lt. Brian Foley, Hartford Major Crimes.
According to police, the argument was over money and had been going on for quite some time.
The cause of death is listed as blunt force trauma. Police say thirty-four-year-old Jose Rodriguez is charged with the actual murder. Forty-five-year-old Anthony Hudson is facing charges that include accessory to commit murder, conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence. Twenty-eight-year-old Meaghan Cowles is charged with hindering prosecution and tampering with physical evidence.
