Dr. Alveda King, who is the niece of Civil Rights Activist Martin Luther King Jr, says she supports the not guilty verdict for George Zimmerman who was tried for the murder or manslaughter of Trayvon Martin, who was gunned down a year ago after walking home after getting Skittles and ice tea.

VLADTV reported:

“Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. would very likely not wear a hoodie.  I can assure you he would not wear sagging pants.”

She also commented on the actual “not-guilty” verdict and how there was enough “reasonable doubt” within the case to make the jury acquit Zimmerman.  Alveda also believes that the media has been trying to stir up racial tension with the way they’ve portrayed the story to the public.

“There was a reasonable doubt in that case,” she said. “So the case went the ways of the laws of this land, but now we need to go further and look at the human heart.”

“As far as trying to fit the Caucasians against African-Americans, Mr. Zimmerman is a Hispanic.  Although we are one blood, one human family, one human race, there’s a lot of deception and emotion in these things that are being spurred […] Mr. Zimmerman is not a Caucasian. He’s not.”
