New England Patriots have managed to be 5 – 1 after the many of players they traded, cut and lost. But the roster still continues to get shorter.
Team captain and former All Pro linebacker Jerod Mayo will be out for the remainder of the season according to ESPN reports. Mayo tore his pectoral muscle against the Saints sunday and had surgery.
Patriots did re-sign defensive tackle Andre Neblett, who they released last week, to take Mayo’s spot.
