NCAA | ANOTHER School Willing To Pay Millions To Leave AAC, Formerly Big East Conference

The Big East is now called the American Athletic Conference if you didn’t get that news break. The AAC are losing a lot of schools, including Rutgers now who are willing to pay this $11.5M fee AAC asked for. Rutgers actually did file a lawsuit against the Big East but dropped it when an agreement was reached.

This is the fourth school to leave the former Big East conference. West Virginia left in 2012, paying $5M, Pittsburgh and Syracuse left in 2013 paying $7.5M.
