According to Newstimes, a 23-year old Bridgeport man was shot dead in downtown Danbury early Saturday morning.

Danbury Police found the man on the ground injured near the parking lot off of 103 Main St and White Street. Reports claim the shooting occurred during a fight after the nightclub Eclipse was starting to close around 2 AM. The man was brought to Danbury Hospital with gunshot wounds and was later pronounced dead.

Police are investigating footage in the club as there are rumors the fighting began inside before it ended up outside.

Police have not released the victims name and there are no suspects at this time.

This is the third murder in Danbury within a year.
