Cleveland Cavaliers Contact NCAA Coach

Cleveland Cavaliers are not just worrying about who will be their first pick, yet again in the past three years, but they are also shopping for a new head coach. With the many of talented NBA coaches who are still unemployed, the Cavs are looking into the NCAA.

One of the most talked about coaches was Kevin Ollie who brought the UCONN Huskies to the National Title and winning it in his second season as head coach. The University of Connecticut were aware of this, tagging Ollie with a five year deal.

Cavs however did look at Florida Gators head coach Billy Donovan. Donovan, who played for the NY Knicks in the 80s and has been coaching Florida since 1996 winning 2 titles (06, 07), has told not just the Cavaliers but all NBA teams no thanks:

“I have spoken to a couple NBA teams, and that’s all I’m going to say. It’s always flattering, but at the same time, I’ve always said that I’m very happy here and like it here.”
