The Miami Heat are in the NBA Finals losing to San Antonio Spurs in the series 1 – 2 in a shocking Game 3 loss. Even though the players minds are on the series, the Heat management have already begun looking to add players and their financial status.
According to ESPN sources, the Heat are looking to gain NY Knicks player, Carmelo Anthony.
The Heat believe with Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh all opting out of contract next year and reducing new deals will give them room for Anthony.
Anthony has until June 23rd to decide if he will stay with the NY Knicks or leave. Phil Jackson insists that Anthony opt into next season.
ESPN’s Stephen A Smith told ESPN NY Radio that Lebron James and Carmelo Anthony show mutual interest on playing with each other and not against each other.
