Legendary Radio Broadcaster Dies

Casey Kasem
Mostly known for being the host of ‘American Top 40’ and the voice of Shaggy in Scooby Doo(1969-97), Casey Kasem has passed away early today at the age of 82. He was suffering from Lewy disease.

He was a radio broadcaster since 1970 and retired in 2009. He has also done voices for numerous of commercials, cartoons and movies.

Kasem went through a lot of legal issues when it came to his three children from his first marriage. He remarried in 1985 and had a daughter within this marriage.

He was inducted into the National Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
