Star Eagles Player Happy The Team Cut Friend & Receiver Desean Jackson

Talented wide receiver Desean Jackson was one of the most shocking cuts in the offseason signing with the Washington Redskins and it left Eagles fans confused.

27-year old Jackson played for the Eagles for 7 years with over 6,000 yards and 32 touchdowns. Last season, with the rotations of quarterbacks, he still managed to get 1,332 and 9 touchdowns. Many cannot forget his highlight moment with the game winning kick return touchdown against the New York Giants in 2010.

Besides his incredible athleticism, he had his occasions of throwing temper tantrums on the sideline or not putting his 100% effort into a game as he was unsatisfied with the Eagles offense and possibly the former head coach Andy Reid.

Riley Cooper, the other receiver, received a five year deal worth 25 million this off season. Cooper had 835 yards with 8 touchdowns; overall 5 year career with the Eagles, 1,514 yards and 13 touchdowns.

How does Cooper get a deal over Jackson many fans asked and would think, disbelief within the lockerroom.

We might be wrong because star running back Lesean McCoy agreed with the cut of Jackson. He told Sports Illustrated’s Bryan Rose: ““The whole DeSean Jackson thing, that helped out, to be honest, in making all the other guys aware. It’s all possible. They’ll cut one of your best guys if (he’s) not buying in. On any team — any team — you look at that, and as a player, you can look at it from so many different sides, but no matter how good you are, you gotta follow these guidelines. And if you don’t, you could be gone. … You gotta buy in.”

Don’t miss September 21st and December 20 game when these two teams will meet during the 2014-15 season. We will be in for a real treat.
