Bucks Regret How Everything Went Down With New Coach Jason Kidd

Jason Kidd was coaching his former team (different name and location) the Brooklyn Nets for one season before he started demanding for a say in player personnel decisions. Brooklyn quickly denied Kidd that power and Bucks snatched him away. Supposedly, according to Kidd himself, there’s no place he’d rather be. Kidd posted on Twitter:

“Over my twenty years in the NBA as a player and a coach, I have always been impressed with the level of support that Bucks fans have given this team, in good times and bad.

With a talented roster, new owners that are passionate about being successful in Milwaukee, and a great fan base, we have the makings of something special here and I’m proud to be leading this new era of Bucks basketball.”

Bucks however wish the whole thing didn’t go down the way it did. According to ESPN, co-owners Marc Lasry and Wes Edens did not inform head coach Larry Drew and general manager John Hammond that they were in talks with Kidd before firing them. The negotiations between Bucks and Nets were suppose to be private until it was leak. Bucks state that Kidd becoming the president of basketball operation wasn’t the case in the deal.
