The crash site of MH17 that was shot down by a missile has been guarded and has been called “the biggest crime scene in the world”. However, the pro-Russia rebels are guarding the site and the Ukraine are accusing the rebels of destroying evidence. The reason why they are guarding it is because eastern Ukraine is occupied by separatist, a group who separate from a larger group/government for cultural, ethnic, tribal or religious reasons.

Ukraine say they are blocking off outside investigators and Malaysia to recover bodies. Rebels are also transporting some of the damage and removed bodies off the site. The rebels have denied these allegations according to NY Daily News.

No one is claiming the rocket in the tragedy even though the Russians are on the suspect list and if these accusations are true, it does add wood to the fire.
