Patriots Refuse To Give Aaron Hernandez’ Lawyers Documentation

Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez can finally start the trial process. The Boston Globe announced that the trial for the murder of Odin Lloyd will begin in January 2015, jury selection starting January 9. Hernandez has been charged for the murder of the semi professional football player in June 2013.

Patriots have excluded themselves from the murder trial until recently when prosecutors stated head coach Bill Bellichick and Hernandez exchanged “34-pages of texts”. Hernandez’ defense team had to correct prosecutors stating it was 34 text messages, not pages of texts, from December 2012 to April 2013. They have not disclosed what the text messages were about. Side note: I don’t see how they’re relevant to a June 2013 murder.

Investigators interviewed Bellichick as well as owner Robert Kraft and employees as well as searching Hernandez’ old locker.

Patriots did give Hernandez’ lawyers his 300+ page medical records but refused to give them the scouting report and psychological report that was prepared before they drafted Hernandez in 2010.
