Billboard News reported that Lee Daniels will be producing a biopic of the late legendary comedian Richard Pryor. The biopic will go into Pryor’s life with his grandmother raising him as well as his father who would physically abuse him.

The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that Mike Epps will be playing Richard Pryor and Eddie Murphy will be playing the father.

There is no date as of yet when the bopic will be released. Lee Daniels directed ‘Precious’ in 2009 and ‘The Butler’.
