Actor Cuba Gooding Jr. will be starring in ‘American Crime Sotry’ as O.J. Simpson in one of the most televised murder trials in US history.

PEOPLE magazine asked Gooding if he met Simpson to prepare for the role and he said no:

“I didn’t want to. There was no reason for me to.

I know what incarceration does to a man. I have friends and family who have been incarcerated. They click and they start to believe whatever it is that they believe as the real thing that happened to them.”

The series starts on February 2 on FOX Network at 10pm EST. Other notable actors are John Travolta, Courtney Vance and Bruce Greenwood.
