Baltimore Officer Ordered to Testify Against Fellow Officers in Freddie Gray Case

Baltimore officer William Porter, the first officer that was arrested for the death of Freddie Gray last April, must testify against the other five officers that were also arrested.

Porter was also the first officer to stand trial and it resulted in a hung jury according to TheRoot. His second trial has yet to begin.

Gray died due to a fatal injury to his spine after being arrested and thrown into a police van with a seat belt. The city awarded his gamily $6.4M.
