Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner, has announced that Thursday Night Football will be streaming live on Twitter this upcoming season according to NFL.com.

Thursday night games has expanded as CBS and NBC will each show five games compared to how only NFL Network broadcasted the games. Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey said this is about transforming the experience for football fans.

In other news, expanding the playoffs by adding more teams is still a possibility. It means they would be adding two more wild-card games. Around the NFL’s Kevin Patra confirms that Goodell it will happen but they have to be careful in not ruining the league:

“(It) likely will happen at some point, but we want to be really cautious because we really like the balance we have with the importance of the regular season and the postseason and you don’t want to mess with that balance. You have to be really careful and cautious.”
