We will see a couple of familiar faces in this upcoming miniseries on BET. The miniseries will be based on R&B group, New Edition.

Hakeem, from ‘Empire’, will be in the series playing the role of Michael Bivins. Elijah Kelley is Ricky Bell; singer-songwriter Luke James is Johnny Gill; Algee Smith is Ralph Tresvant; Keith Powers is Ronnie Devoe, and Woody McClain plays Bobby Brown accordinf to Indiewire.

The begin shooting the film next month.
