Dr. William Petit, whose wife and children were murdered in a 2007 home invasion, will run for state office according to NY Daily News.

Pwtit’s wife was raped and strangled and his daughters, aged 17 and 11, were killed as well as the Cheshire home was set to flames by two men. Petit managed to escape but was beaten up.

He will start his campaign in the Republican party and for Connecticut Legislature.
