Connecticut Post reports a 30-year old man was shot dead near Southern Connecticut State University campus overnight. The New Haven man was shot multiple times in a parking lot outside of an apartment complex.

Police spokesman confirms that police have detained one of two men who crashed their car into a tree and fled shortly after the 3 am shooting. Investigation is ongoing.
