Knicks guard Derrick Rose left NY to Chicago without informing anyone from the Knicks to be with his mother. He told the media that he needed to be with his mother and he didn’t answer the phone as he needed his “space” to what was happening with his family.

Rose apologized to his teammates, GM and Phil Jackson and ESPN reports they all accepted his explanation for his AWOL. He still is being fined but will play tomorrow against the Philadelphia Sixers.

Rose has returned to NY and practiced with the team today.
