NY Daily News reports that a 48-year old former NYPD officer shot himself yesterday morning after FBI agents and state police pulled him over in Rockland County.

FBI and police claim Gerard Benderoth was linked to an ex-Briarcliff manor cop who was accused of killing and burying four men after a bad drug deal last year. He killed the men at a bar in Orange County after a 5-kilo drug deal went bad.
