Rae Carruth, former NFL star, was sentenced to 18 to 24 years for conspiracy to commit murder in the 1999 shooting death of Cherica Adams, the mother of his unborn child. Stores claim that she refused to have an abortion which caused her untimely death. The child did survive but suffered permanent brain damage as the four bullets missed him.
Chancellor Adams, now 17, will be standing outside the prison when Carruth is released in October 2018. He will be along side his grandmother, Saundra Adams. Saundra tells NY Daily News that she did forgive Carruth or she wouldn’t of been able to love Chancellor.
Carruth was a first round pick in 1997 and played for the Carolina Panthers until his arrest.
