A shooting occurred this early morning outside Queensboro Correctional Facility on Van Dam St in Long Island City according to NY Daily News.

A female correctional officer opened fire on another officer, who happens to be her ex. He was not injured as he ran for cover by running inside the prison.

The female left, came back,. shot up his car and then shot herself. She was pronounced dead at the Elmhurst Hospital.
