The New York Giants and former Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount had mutual interest as it was reported by several sources. What wasn’t known is that the Giants actually put in an offer to the veteran. However, the offer was minimum-salary while the rivals, Philadelphia Eagles, offered Blount $3M.
ESPN writer Jordan Raanan says the Giants are all in for their 2nd year running back, Paul Perkins. Even though he barely got any playing time, he had 456 yard and 0 touchdowns. Rashad Jennings was the starting running back.
