NFL Commissioner Declines Request To Allow Dunks On Goal Posts Again

The NFL will continue with its 2014 ban on dunking on the field goal post crossbar.

Many wonder what’s the big deal.

According to ESPN, the reason it’s been banned is because the goalpost could be dislodged and require repairs. It violates the rule using the goalpost as a prop. Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner, says it will still be against the rules of celebration to ‘delay the game’.

If you dunk after a touchdown, you will be fined and it’s 15-yard penalty.
