U.S. Rep Steve Scalise was shot during a community baseball event today in Alexandria Virginia. His wounds appear not to be life-threatening according to CNN reports. A staff member of Rep. Roger Williams was also shot.

Scalise was on second base when the gunman fired “20-30” shots from the dugout according to Rep. Mo Brooks’ interview with CNN. APD and D.C. Capitol Police exchanged shots with the suspect but the status of the gunman is unknown.
