Eagles Defensive End To Donate Almost Half Of His Seasons Salary To Fund Scholarships For Charlottesville School


Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Long will donate six of his game checks to fund scholarships for a private school he attended in Charlottesville Virginia. That would be about $843,000 (before taxes) according to Sporting News.

Long has a foundation called the ‘Chris Long Foundation’ that “supports bright futures for communities and the individuals that make up those communities.”

For his 2017 salary, he has a signing bonus of $500,000, a base salary of $1M and roster bonus of $750,000.
