Jim Calhoun Comes Out Of Retirement

Jim Calhoun, former UCONN Huskies basketball coach, has returned to college basketball. Calhoun announced yesterday, while the Rick Pitino alleged scandal erupted, that he has accepted an offer from the University of St. Joseph’s to become their basketball consultant. St. Joseph’s basketball team is Division 3.

His contract with UCONN expires in March and St. Joseph’s basketball program doesn’t start until next season.

The 75-year old Hall of Famer won 3 NCAA championships with the UCONN Huskies and raised NBA stars such as Ray Allen, Richard Hamilton, Kemba Walker and more. His overall record is 873 – 380 (Northeastern 1972-85, UConn 1986-2012).
